Service
Websites for local shops and trades.
Kaffee Werks Design and Automation builds and redesigns websites for local businesses: auto and motorcycle shops, towing companies, plumbing and HVAC contractors, builders and fabricators. The sites are fast, built for phones first, and do one job well: show a customer what you do and make it easy to call you. It starts with a free review of your current site, then a mockup, and nothing is built or published until you approve it.
Most customers meet you on a phone.
When someone needs a tow, a brake job or a plumber, they search on their phone, open two or three sites, and call the first one that makes it easy. If your number isn't tappable, your services are buried, or the page takes forever to load, they back out and try the next one.
A good small-business site doesn't need to be fancy. It needs your phone number at the top, a plain list of what you do and where, your hours, and real photos of your shop and your work. That's what we build, and we keep it fast.
A website is also where a lot of automation starts. When you want it, the site can hand its leads to the same lead tracking and call answering we build. It never has to.
The review
What we look for, and what changes.
Every project starts with the same checks, done on a phone the way your customers see you.
Example concept · fictional business
Before
- Number can't be tapped
- Text too small on a phone
- Services buried in a menu
After
- One tap to call
- Hours at a glance
- Services in plain words
What we check on every site
-
Tap-to-call
Your number is at the top of every page, and it dials when a customer taps it on a phone.
-
Hours
When you're open is easy to find, and it matches your Google listing.
-
Mobile layout
Text you can read and buttons you can hit with a thumb, without pinching and zooming.
-
Speed
The page loads quickly on a cell connection, not just on office Wi-Fi.
-
Clear services
What you do and the area you cover, in the words your customers actually search for.
-
Working forms
The contact form sends somewhere a person reads it, and the customer knows it went through.
-
Secure https
The site loads with a valid certificate, so browsers don't warn customers away.
What's included
What goes into every site.
Tap-to-call everywhere
Your phone number at the top of every page, tappable on a phone, with hours and directions where people look for them.
Built for phones first
Laid out for a phone screen first, then scaled up for desktop. Readable text and buttons big enough for a thumb.
Fast
Lean pages without heavy page builders or piles of plugins, so the site loads quickly on a cell connection.
Clear services
What you do, what you don't, and the area you cover, written in plain words your customers use.
Real photos
Your shop, your trucks, your crew and your work instead of stock photos. If you don't have good ones yet, we'll tell you which shots matter most.
Search basics done right
Clear page titles, your name, address and phone the same everywhere, and business details search engines can read. No ranking guarantees, because nobody honest can make one.
How it works
Review, mockup, build. You approve every step.
-
01
Free review
We look at your current site the way a customer would, on a phone, and send you a short, plain list of what's working and what's costing you calls.
-
02
Mockup
A mockup of your new homepage with your real information, so you can see the difference before you commit to anything.
-
03
Quote and build
A clear scope and price in writing. Once you approve it, we build the site, and you review every page before it goes live.
-
04
Launch
We point your domain at the new site and check it on real phones. The domain and accounts stay in your name.
Works with Your existing domain and email, your Google Business Profile details, contact forms that email you or feed a CRM, and the call-answering and lead systems we build.
FAQ
Common questions.
How much does a new website cost?
It depends on how many pages you need and what the site has to do, so every site is quoted in writing after the review. You'll know the price before any work starts. See how pricing works.
Do I have to change my domain or email?
No. Your domain stays yours and your email keeps working. At launch we only change what's needed to point the domain at the new site.
Who owns the website?
You do. The domain and hosting accounts are in your name, and you get a copy of the site. No lock-in.
Do I have to write everything myself?
No. We write the pages with you from a short conversation about what you do, and you approve every word before it goes live.
Can you guarantee I'll rank first on Google?
No, and be careful with anyone who promises that. We build the site the way search engines expect, with clear titles, accurate business details and fast pages. Rankings depend on a lot more than the website.
I got an email from Nathan about my website. Is this legit?
Yes. Nathan reaches out to a small number of local businesses when he notices something specific on their site, like a phone number that can't be tapped. There's no obligation. If you'd rather not hear from him again, reply and say so, and you won't.
