Service
Self-hosted systems you actually own.
Self-hosted infrastructure means running your business phone system, automation tools and apps on hardware you own instead of renting them per user per month. Kaffee Werks sets up and supports these systems with backups, monitoring and secure remote access, so owning your stack doesn't mean babysitting it.
Stop renting what you could own.
Per-user subscriptions add up fast, and every one of them holds a piece of your business data on someone else's terms. For the right workloads, a small server in your office pays for itself and puts you back in control.
We run our own phone system, automation platform and business apps this way, on a home-lab server with dozens of containers. We bring the same setup to clients, done properly: documented, backed up and monitored.
What's included
Owned, documented, backed up.
Business phone systems
Asterisk/FreePBX phone systems with extensions, voicemail, phone trees and ring groups, connected to a VoIP carrier.
Containerized apps
Automation, file sharing, wikis and internal tools deployed in containers that are easy to update and move.
Backups
Automatic, tested backups with a copy off-site, because a backup you haven't restored isn't a backup.
Monitoring
Alerts when disks fill up, services go down or something looks wrong.
Secure remote access
Zero-trust access through encrypted tunnels. No open ports on your router.
Documentation
What's running, where, and how to recover it, written down and handed to you.

FAQ
Common questions.
Is self-hosting less secure than the cloud?
Not when it's done properly. We use encrypted tunnels instead of open ports, keep systems updated, and back everything up off-site. Some workloads still belong in the cloud, and we'll tell you which.
What happens if the server fails?
Tested backups mean it can be restored, and critical services like phones are set up with a fallback so calls still reach you.
Can you replace our phone provider?
Often, yes. A self-hosted phone system with a VoIP carrier can cost far less than per-seat business phone plans. We'll compare it honestly against what you pay today.
