Kaffee Werks Design and Automation is a one-person, hands-on shop in Minneapolis, run by Nathan Keil, who does his own engine swaps and fabrication when he isn't building software. The name is a nod to where good work starts: a cup of coffee and a workshop. We build websites and automation the way a good machine is built. It does one job reliably, it's easy to service, and it doesn't need babysitting.

Good questions.
Do you only do automation, or websites too?
Both. We build and redesign websites for local shops and trades, and the automation behind them. Many businesses start with just the website. See website design.
Will callers know they're talking to an AI?
Yes. We recommend a short, friendly disclosure at the start of every call. It's the honest approach, it's increasingly required, and callers respond better when they know. Anyone who wants a person can ask for one at any time.
What happens when the AI doesn't know the answer?
It says so, takes a detailed message, and routes it to the right person. Agents are limited to the information and actions you approve, and every conversation is logged so you can review it.
Do I have to replace the software I already use?
Almost never. Most of our work connects the tools you already have: your phone number, email, calendar, CRM, and accounting software. We only recommend a change when it clearly saves you money or time.
Where does my data live?
Your choice. We can run systems on reputable cloud services or entirely on hardware in your office. Either way, the accounts are in your name and we document where everything is stored.
What does a project cost?
