Smart building automation that pays attention.

Smart building automation connects lights, climate, sensors and door access to the rest of your business, so your space reacts on its own and alerts you when something's wrong. Kaffee Werks builds these systems with Home Assistant, running locally so they keep working even when the internet doesn't.

Your building should tell you when something's wrong.

A freezer that quietly fails overnight, a water leak over a weekend, heat left running in an empty shop. Most of these are cheap to detect and expensive to discover late.

We connect sensors and devices into one local system that follows your rules and texts the right person when it matters. It can even be controlled by voice over a phone call, the way our own office is.

What's included

Sensors, schedules and alerts.

Environment alerts

Temperature, humidity, water leak and power sensors that text you before small problems become big ones.

Climate and lighting

Schedules and occupancy rules that cut waste without anyone remembering to flip switches.

Access and security

Smart locks, door sensors and cameras tied into one dashboard.

Runs locally

Home Assistant runs on your own hardware, so automations keep working without the internet.

Voice and phone control

Control devices by voice, including over a phone call through an AI agent.

Tied into workflows

A sensor alert can open a work order, notify a tech or log an event automatically.

FAQ

Common questions.

What is Home Assistant?

Home Assistant is an open-source platform that connects smart devices from many brands into one system that runs locally, on hardware you own, instead of in a vendor's cloud.

Does it work if the internet goes down?

Yes. Automations run locally. Only remote access and internet-based alerts depend on a connection, and alerts can fall back to cellular options.

Is this for businesses or homes?

Both. Most of our business work is shops, offices and rental properties, where catching a problem early saves real money.
